Welcome to the LeadershipLaboratory!
In June, 2016, I transitioned into the role of Fellow at Talent Plus, Inc., an international human resources consulting firm with offices on three continents. In this role I’ll focus on writing, speaking and teaching through a variety of media. I’ll continue to move the Talent Plus mission, and my particular focus will be to inspire people to use their influence as leaders to make a positive difference in the lives of their employees.
I joined Talent Plus in 1999, and I’ve served in a variety of roles. Most recently, before becoming a Fellow, I served for two and a half years as President of Talent Plus, Inc.
Before joining Talent Plus. I served in senior positions both in operations and human resources including General Manager for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and Corporate Director of Training for Hyatt Hotels. I am passionate about helping leaders retain, motivate and develop their employees, improving both individual and team performance.
I believe that people are an organization’s most important competitive advantage. The mission of this blog is to investigate best practices for the retention, engagement and development of people at every level of an organization.
You are in the laboratory every day. If you’re a leader, you can try new approaches to determine what works in your culture with your style. As we try new things, we can post our results and our lessons learned. It is my hope that this blog can serve as a space where we can all learn from each other.
